How To Import Pets Into Singapore (e.g. Dogs And Cats)?
Here is the step by step things to be done to bring pets into Singapore.
- Choose your new dog or cat from a reliable and relevant source online or offline (overseas).
- Identify the rabies risk category of each exporting country, they are categorizes from A to D. Group A bring the least risk to group D being the highest risk.
- It is very important to check the dog and cat breed which is allowed in Singapore and also the intended residence (E.g housing type).
- Complete the rabies vaccination and serology test. Please comply to the time-frame of the pets rabies antibody level.
- Complete your pet general vaccinations, the step 4 to 5 should be completed before leaving the country of origin.
- Do reserve quarantine space for your pet if the steps above have been completed.
- Apply for a dog licence before getting an import licence for the pet.
- Book an inspection date for your pet.
- Complete a dog or cat parasite treatment and obtain a valid Veterinary Health Certificate.
- Lastly, Present your pet’s import licence during check-in.
